I'm an earner, Bitches!

My first paycheck!

Ingrid took me to a photo shoot last week. There was another dog there before me, and he didn't do too good at the job, which is why they called me in. Still, I had to smell him all over everything in that studio. Very distracting.

I got lots of attention and treats, but I had to sit and stand with this lady on all this white paper while everyone else stood around just looking, not playing or anything. The lady that I stood with was ok, but she kept talking to me in this high pitched voice that really annoyed me. Then she was also teasing me with this toy; meanwhile, Ingrid was off to the side motioning for me to sit and stay which I was trying to do, but I can't contain myself when there's a toy around.

I got to take one of the toys with me, a blue rubber ball with a squeaker. I carried it all the way home, which drew lots of attention, but I'm used to that. I'm Tony, bitches!

I'm Tony.

Goodies!

Here I am checking out the goodies at Saturday's City Critter adoption event and bake sale. I got lots of treats and Ingrid got a cupcake that looked like a cat!

I'm Britney, Bitches!

Bob can't see, but that didn't stop him from posing perfectly with me.

I'm going South!

Ingrid's friend Dan took some of my stickers with him on a road trip. Here's a Tony sticker on the Mason-Dixon line!

Thanks Dan!

Macwagen!

Hey I finally got to meet Ingrid's friend Dan, aka Macwagen, from Flickr. She's known him online for more than four years, but she'd never met him in person. Can you imagine? How can you really know someone without being able to sniff them?

Anyway, Dan smelled good to me, a real dog lover, and you know I can tell. I went around to some of the other tables, and some guy gave me a french fry and Ingrid flipped out and came over and said I had to come back and sit with her. Wet blanket.

Don't we look cute? We both have beards.

BTNYC!

Hey so tonight was the first meeting of the BTNYC group. It's this thing Ingrid started to get other Border Terriers that live in the city together. For what, I'm sure I don't know. There was a puppy who was a little full of himself, but I put him straight right away. Then another one showed up, but I ignored her and she ignored me so Ok.

Here we are ignoring each other, but notice how I'm getting loving from her person. That's what I do. All the ladies love Tony. Oh, yeah.

Play Date!

Finally had another play date with Ralph, the big pit mix from across the street. He's got his own little yard to play around in. Our favorite game is tug.

Here we are with one of his owner's socks. He'll never wear that again.

Out in the Country

Whenever I need to leave it all behind
Or feel the need to get away
I find a quiet place, far from the human race
Out in the country

Before the breathin' air is gone
Before the sun is just a bright spot in the nighttime
Out where the rivers like to run
I stand alone and take back somethin' worth rememberin'

Whenever I feel them closing in on me
Or need a bit of room to move
When life becomes too fast, I find relief at last
Out in the country

Before the breathin' air is gone
Before the sun is just a bright spot in the nighttime
Out where the rivers like to run
I stand alone and take back somethin' worth rememberin'

As you can see, we spent the weekend in Pennsylvania. It was a big weekend of "firsts" for me!

I rode in a car for a couple hours! I've never done that before, except when I was a puppy and Ingrid and Tyler were taking me home with them. I don't remember that trip 'cause like I said I was just a pup.

Here's me in the car, a Mustang convertible, just as we were leaving our street.

Ok, first stop was Jake, Dusty and Lucy's place. They live with two people named Carla and Dave, and all of 'em were way cool. Me and Dusty almost got into it a couple times; I didn't like this thing that was inside a cage that kept laughing at everyone [edit from Ingrid: a parrot] so I barked at it, trying to tell it to stop laughing, and that started those three telling me to quiet down, but they sure were noisy about it! It was cool cause we got to go outside whenever we felt like it, and run around as you can see in the top picture.

I was a little hungry, and there was food right out for the taking!

So I took some.

I picked something out of the toy pile to play with and the first thing I did was tear the asshole out of it. It tasted like chicken.

Here's a little video of me and Jake and Lucy going after a toy that Tyler threw. I got it, as you can see. I always get it.

Here's me and Carla, one of the people. She loves me. Oh yeah, all the ladies love Tony.

Next we went in the car again and when we got out we were on a farm! There were two big goats there that didn't like dogs, so they got their hair standing up on their backs and stuff when they saw me. There was no way I wanted to get them mad at me, one of them had horns! Sharp horns.

While the people ate lunch, I played with my toy that Carla and Dave said I could take, which was nice cause I was taking it anyway. One of the people there wanted to give me a potato chip, but Ingrid and Tyler said no. They say no a lot. There were also some little black things buzzing around next to the porch and I was trying to catch them, but I didn't do very well with the toy in my mouth.

Then we all got back in the car and headed for home. I barfed in the car cause I had eaten a lot of grass. How could I not eat grass?! It was everywhere! I've never seen so much green! Oh and a biscuit came back up too, in its entirety. I didn't chew it, you see, just swallowed it whole 'cause I had to get it before Jake did when the people were handing them out. Ha, I beat him to it. But he probably didn't throw up.

Then I fell asleep. It smelled like chicken.

No Pets Allowed In Restrooms

Yeah, we saw the sign, we just walk right in like it doesn't apply to us.

'Cause that's how we roll.

Play Date Canceled. Sadness.

I was supposed to have a play date today with my friend Ralph from across the street, but his owner had work to do so they canceled. BOO! Why do they have to work? I don't! I just play, play, play!

Ingrid and I went to the Seminary to the dog run there this morning and again this afternoon. Here's me waiting for her to throw the damn ball already.

Old Navy Rocks!

And this is how I roll ...

Ingrid and I went to Old Navy, she was getting some tshirts and we stopped by the dog section. I got a new "T" tag, a new red, white and blue collar for the summer, and then I picked this toy out and she bought it for me! I carried it all the way home, cause I wanted everyone to know it was mine, baby. The whole way people were pointing and smiling at us, probably cause they wanted a tire toy, but there was no way I was letting go of that. It's my new fave toy!

Georgia Rules!

Georgia the Westie came over today for a playdate. She's cool, and as you know, I do like blondes, and of course all the ladies love Tony. She sure was feisty! We got into it a little bit when we all went back to my place after the walkabout, but it all ended on a good note. Next time maybe we'll go to a park or something and then I can really show off good for her.

Terrier saves kids from Pit Bull

The poor fella was hurt so bad, they had to put him down. Sadness!

I'm in another video!

This time it's an homage, or dogage, as I like to call it, to "The Sopranos."

Manga it up, baby!

Don't do this!

WTF? Everyone knows that you don't leave your dog tied up outside a store or restaurant. Ingrid takes me into stores where I'm welcome (and if they say that I'm not allowed, we don't go there again) and in fact just had me with her in the Rite Aid store mentioned in this flyer! They allow dogs! Take your dogs inside with you or leave us at home! Who knows where this little cutie is now. Poor thing.

I'm looking good!

Me Me Me!

Free Carrots!

So on Saturday we go over to Union Square with our friends Jimmy (human)and Hero (dog). No sooner do we walk in when I see this big tub of carrot and potato skins. Some guy with a funny accent was selling something to peel vegetables with and throwing out the skins, can you imagine! They were all collecting into this bit tub, free for the taking! So I helped myself, and everyone standing around seemed to think it was funny. Let them laugh, I love carrots and I got my fill!

Team Tony!

Check out the new section in my shop, Team Tony. It's not so much about me as it is about Tony Soprano, but I'll take whatever publicity I can get! Show your Tony love and support, bitches!

I'm looking up!

I'm at a gallery!

Ingrid and I hit some galleries on Saturday. I was welcome at all of them!
If you are in Chelsea, I highly recommend David Lyle's stuff at the George Billis Gallery.

I'm a Simulacrum!

Yeah, I didn't know what it meant either.
Simulacrum. Sounds like something that looks like a crumb. Mmm, crumb.

I'm a paper doll!

Ingrid made a little mistake on the template, but I'm looking pretty good. For being a paper doll, that is. Don't worry, she'll fix it before she puts it on the website.

This will be the first item in the "free stuff" section on my new website, "www.tonysez.com!" She's planning desktop wallpaper, stickers, maybe stationary, oh, and horrors!, little clothes to put on this paper doll. Enjoy me in my natural glory while you can.

I'm feeling better today.

The vet said that I might have another seizure or whatever it was within twenty four hours, but nothing happened, at least that I remember.

Ingrid thinks that I've got something called Canine Epileptoid Cramping Syndrome, or the condition formerly known as Spike's Disease. It affects Border Terriers but they don't know a lot about it because some dogs only have one or two episodes in their whole lives! I'm hoping I never have another one, cause even though I don't remember it, it sure did upset everyone yesterday.

(That's me with Ingrid's friend Lauri. Cute, aren't we? Especially me?)

Seizure!

I had a seizure today! I had just walked into the dog park with my new walker, Shiko, and was running around playing when they said I started to twitch and twist and my legs got all wobbly and I finally fell down. Lucky for me there is a vet's office a block away and my walker thought fast and took me there, calling Ingrid to meet us on the way. By the time Ingrid got there (which was pretty quick, I was impressed, she hasn't moved that fast in a year!), I was feeling better and giving out kisses to the ladies in the vet's office. I didn't even remember what happened!

I'll keep you updated.

I hate the Halti

Ok, so whoever thought of this contraption should be forced to live with Paris Hilton for a week. Ingrid and Tyler want me to walk right by their sides, but, geez Lou-eeze! I gotta sniff! There are so many dogs in this neighborhood, if I don't keep track of all of 'em, it's chaos! And when they leave their scent on top of where I left my scent earlier, well, I can't let that slide. Could you?

Training day

Ingrid and Tyler had a "trainer" come in today for a consultation. She said I can't sleep on the bed anymore.

We'll see about that.

I'm not in love ...

So don't forget it.
It's just a silly phase I'm going through.

Westminster Schwag!

If there's anything Ingrid loves, it's free stuff. Here's the bagful of goodies she came home with from the dog show. Note: there were three of the blue mini-frisbees, but I destroyed one right out of the bag. Oh, yeah.

Westminster!

Here's a photo of the Border Terrier BOB from the dog show today. Not a typical picture of such a lauded doggie, but I like it cause it shows how tiring (or boring) the benching area is for dogs.

Here's a better picture.

The Puppy Bowl

Today Animal Planet (why don't they just call it the Animal Channel? See how that rolls off your tongue? So much better than "Planet") showed The Puppy Bowl III. A three hour extravaganza of puppies playing and romping in a small area made up to look like a football field. There was even sound track for crowd cheers and jeers when certain "plays" were made. The half time show was all cats.

Needless to say, my favorite was a peppy 16 week old BT named Spencer, we even went to the website and voted for Spencer as MVP, Most Valuable Puppy. Clips and highlights are here on the Animal Channel website (that's right, CHANNEL. Wanna fight about it? Didn't think so.)

Tony Loves Lital

Here's a shot of me with my walker, Lital. She was getting ready to go away for a month or so, so we had to give her the Valentines' gift early (the gift being the shirt I'm wearing).

Speaking of Valentine's Day, get your butt over to our shop and Spread the Love, Tony-style!

Agility Rocks!

Well, not that I would know first-hand or anything as I've never tried it. But lots of Borders seem to be involved in it so we've added an "Agility Rocks!" design over at the shop.

Check it out!

No Puggles!

Article in the NYTimes Magazine today about so-called "designer dogs."

Meh.
