Trees trees everywhere, and not one to lift a leg on

Ingrid and I took in some galleries today, walking around in the not-quite-started-yet snowstorm. She took my picture in this one, Alexander and Bonin (which I insist be pronounced BONE-IN, ok?!) There were lots of pictures of trees. Ingrid loves trees, and so do I. Unforch, these were too high up for me to pee on. It was very frustrating. Here I am not peeing on the tree pictures.

Seeing some art

This afternoon Ingrid and I went to some of the galleries in our neighborhood. I especially liked this installation at Marlborough Chelsea. It's a rat's eye view of things, and you all know how I feel about rats. They call it "A New Beginning" but that doesn't make sense to me as I wasn't even allowed to start to think about marking one of the giant flowers.
Art, schmart, give me a fire hydrant any day.

Lions and junkyard dogs!

Ingrid and I went out for a while this afternoon, as soon as it stopped raining. Thought we'd have the park to ourselves but lots of people there. Some guy brought in two schnauzers and that's when Ingrid decided we better get out of there. (I don't get on too well with some Schnauzers.)
So we went for a walkabout and I got my picture snapped with this big golden lion outside a strip club. They should have statues of me outside there instead, even though I'm not sure I would want to join a strip club, as I'm not too fond of being stripped.

Then on the way home, we walked by an auto shop with a real junkyard dog inside! At first we heard him growling and barking inside the gates, then all of a sudden, Ingrid spotted his head sticking out a hole!

We high-tailed it outta there before he managed to squeeze his whole body through that hole. Yikes!

Again with the What not to do

Every morning, there's this little doggie sitting outside of the local coffee place on our block. He's not wearing a leash and he's not tied up. People like to stop and say, "oh look how cute," but it's not really all that cute. Don't they realize that anyone could come up and walk away with that dog? It's bad enough when people leave dogs tied up outside stores and restaurants, but hey, at least they are tied up! This one's just roaming free! While I might envy his freedom just a bit, I'll take safety any day. Tony Sez: keep your dog on a leash! We might pull and tug but we secretly thank you for it!

When Tony met Tony

Here I am at the reception for an Artbridge project that is taking place on the outside of our building. Meh. Too high for me to piss on, so I don't care. It was pretty boring, but I got some food that fell on the floor and I met this guy who was also named Tony.

This morning

On the way to the park this morning, my pack and I stopped for snacks at Brownstein's. They'd like you to think they are famous, but then, so am I. I'm Tony, bitches!

I get real

Here I am with a ball at the park on Saturday. Ingrid wants to say I'm "playing," but really, I don't play! I'm serious about that ball. I tried to get two of them in my mouth at once and I would have too, if that Collie mix hadn't come along. Ingrid laughs like crazy whenever I try to pick up two balls (which is frequently). She really needs to work on having a more positive attitude. If you always laugh and don't take it seriously, then how are you ever gonna do it! Like I sez, I'm serious about that ball!

See me in Muttropolitan Diary!

Yo! Ingrid and I got snapped for Muttropolitan Diary when we were out and about last month. I didn't much feel like posing, cause it was very hot, but even when I don't feel like posing I look good, right?

Take Your Dog to Work Day!

Today was National Take Your Dog to Work Day, so Ingrid took me to her job. It's funny, because when I have a job, I have to carry something around or look for something, but Ingrid doesn't have to carry anything around. Here I am helping her to answer some emails.

We didn't stay long, but as luck would have it, the FDNY showed up to do their annual inspection! I had my picture taken with them, cause they made a big fuss over me and seemed to really like me. Anyway they kept saying my name, "Ton-EEEE!" Like that.

All in all I'd say Take Your Dog to Work Day was a big success! I sure had a good time, got lots of treats, lots of attention and affection from lots of people, I like work!

Sparky and Me

TonySez:
Ingrid and I hit some galleries today, as we like to do on Saturday afternoons. We went to the Schroeder Romero/Winkleman Gallery Space; she wanted to see The Sparky Show. A Brooklyn artist named Nelson had lots of people do artwork of his dog, Sparky.

I wasn't too impressed.
When someone does The Tony Show, I'll let you know.

Gallery going

Ingrid and I went to some galleries today in our neighborhood. She tried to make me sit still while some art was being projected on the wall, but I was too excited to see what was going on in the other room; some guy was smiling at me and I wanted to go say hi. I think my shadow on the wall was prettier than the pictures they were showing. I guess Ingrid did too, cause she took this picture.

Sweet Freedom!

Ok, by some weird twist of fate, (actually it was more like my collar or leash that got twisted), I got loose from the walker yesterday. I was all the way to 8th Avenue and was drawing quite a crowd by the time he noticed I was gone. Some nice lady named Susan picked me up and, seeing that I had a rabies tag, called the number of the vet on it. She told the vet she thought I was a puppy but that I had a grey beard like an old dog. She was asking people as they walked by looking at us if I looked like a Border Terrier. Well, what else would I look like? Humans are funny.

The dog walker caught up to us there and calls were placed to Ingrid and Tyler letting them know what happened. Imagine how surprised they must have been to hear that someone found me in the street!

For the rest of the day, I was in a real weird mood. When the walker dropped me off, I went straight over and pulled everything I could out of the trash cans in the living room and dressing room. Tyler came home early and I felt like I had to follow him around the apartment, I don't know what was wrong with me!

Ingrid came home that night from work and made a big fuss over me, more than usual, and that's quite a bit. The dog walker is now also extra careful with me. Humans are funny.

Goodies!

Here I am checking out the goodies at Saturday's City Critter adoption event and bake sale. I got lots of treats and Ingrid got a cupcake that looked like a cat!

Me and Bob!

Bob can't see, but that didn't stop him from posing perfectly with me.

Macwagen!

Hey I finally got to meet Ingrid's friend Dan, aka Macwagen, from Flickr. She's known him online for more than four years, but she'd never met him in person. Can you imagine? How can you really know someone without being able to sniff them?

Anyway, Dan smelled good to me, a real dog lover, and you know I can tell. I went around to some of the other tables, and some guy gave me a french fry and Ingrid flipped out and came over and said I had to come back and sit with her. Wet blanket.

Don't we look cute? We both have beards.

Georgia Rules!

Georgia the Westie came over today for a playdate. She's cool, and as you know, I do like blondes, and of course all the ladies love Tony. She sure was feisty! We got into it a little bit when we all went back to my place after the walkabout, but it all ended on a good note. Next time maybe we'll go to a park or something and then I can really show off good for her.

Don't do this!

WTF? Everyone knows that you don't leave your dog tied up outside a store or restaurant. Ingrid takes me into stores where I'm welcome (and if they say that I'm not allowed, we don't go there again) and in fact just had me with her in the Rite Aid store mentioned in this flyer! They allow dogs! Take your dogs inside with you or leave us at home! Who knows where this little cutie is now. Poor thing.

Team Tony!

Check out the new section in my shop, Team Tony. It's not so much about me as it is about Tony Soprano, but I'll take whatever publicity I can get! Show your Tony love and support, bitches!

I'm at a gallery!

Ingrid and I hit some galleries on Saturday. I was welcome at all of them!
If you are in Chelsea, I highly recommend David Lyle's stuff at the George Billis Gallery.
